4 policemen injured as escort jeep with Lalu overturns
Press Trust of India Hajipur Four policemen were today injured as an escort jeep in the convoy of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and his minister son Tej Pratap Yadav overturned on Gandhi Setu in Bihar's Vaishali district, a police officer said.
The police jeep, with four cops on escort duty, in the motorcade of Prasad and state Health Minister Tej Pratap Yadav lost control at the northern end of Gandhi Setu and overturned after a car suddenly came from the opposite direction, Town police station in-charge Sunil Kumar said.
All four policemen, including Sub-Inspector (SI) Ravindra Rai, sustained severe injuries, he said, adding that the injured were admitted to the sadar hospital.
The RJD supremo and his minister son were on their way to Chakbaze village under Mahua police station to express condolences to the kin of martyred soldier Rajiv Rai, the police officer said.
