Amitkumar Anilkumar Sharma (22), a student of MIT located in Loni Kalbhor village in the district, had attempted suicide by consuming pesticide and sleeping pills on October 23, but survived after receiving medical help in time, police said.
In his suicide note Sharma had alleged that Saurabh Anil Kharat (21), Akshay Rajendra Dambare (21), Saurabh Surendra Savle (21) and Nitin Laxman Maharmur (23) had subjected him to frequent mental torture.
Loni Kalbhor police had booked the accused under section 4 of Maharashtra Anti-Ragging Act-1999.
