4 workers killed in fire mishap at match unit

Four women workers were charred to death in a fire accident at a match unit at a village in the district today, police said.
Five workers of the unit at Vadakku Thittan Kulam, about 60 km from here, were loading the finished match boxes into a container when the fire broke out.
Four persons were killed on the spot while another managed to escape unhurt, police said adding the cause of the fire was under investigation.
