4 yr-old raped, accused arrested

A four-year-old was allegedly raped by a 23-year-old youth in Vigyan Nagar area of Kota city, following which he was arrested, police said today.
The accused, Dolat Suman, was arrested yesterday and would be produced before the court today.
"The victim's family and the accused share rented rooms in a same building in Vigyan Nagar area. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon when the accused sneaked into the girl's room while she wassleepingalone.
"Her mother had gone out to fetch her sister from school and her father was away at work," Circle In Charge (CI) of Vigyan Nagar Police Station, Jai Prakesh Beniwal, said.

On a complaint by the girl's parents, a case against Dolat Suman, a resident of Khadipur village in Madhya Pradesh was lodged for allegedly raping the four-year-old girl, he said
The victim complained of stomach ache in the evening following which her parents took her to a nearby dispensary where the nursing staff disclosed that something wrong has happened with the minor, he said.

A case under Section 376 of the IPC and under sections of POSCO Act was lodged against the accused, the CI said.
The victim was sent for medical examination yesterday, he added.
The accused would be produced before the court today, he said, adding further investigation is on.

The minor girl belonged to the Gujjar community.
