40 J-K children meet Rajnath Singh

A group of 40 school children, including 20 girls, hailing from remote areas of Jammu and Kashmir today met Home Minister Rajnath Singh, who advised them to share their experience and love, they received during their nation-wide tour, with their friends and family.
During the interaction with the children, Singh said India is a country of unity in diversity and advised them to share the beauty and diversified culture of the country back home.

The children shared with the Home Minister their experience of visit to different historical places.
The Home Minister lauded the Border Security Force (BSF), which arranged the 'Bharat Darshan' tour for the children, for providing the children the opportunity to witness the rich cultural heritage and diversity, which is the identity of India.
Speaking on the occasion, Director General of BSF D K Pathak said the concept of 'Bharat Darshan' tour started in the year 2000 and it is conducted every year for the children from Jammu and Kashmir.
Till date 1,499 children from Jammu and Kashmir have participated in BSF-sponsored 52 Bharat Darshan tours.
This tour is conducted to provide the children opportunity to see and and experience historical, cultural and social profile of the country and the progress made in industrial, technological and scientific fields and also to inculcate in them a sense of pride for the nation.
