41,550 students give Delhi CET for engineering courses

A record number of 41,550 students appeared for the Common Entrance Test for diploma in engineering courses conducted by Delhi government.
The total attendance percentage of the candidates appeared for the CET on June 7-8 was 88 per cent.
The Department of Technical Education conducted the Common Entrance Tests for admission to various engineering and non engineering diploma courses in government, government-aided and private institutes of the capital.
The CET was conducted at 119 examination centres of Delhi and a total of 50,199 candidates, including 28,864 from general category, 11,481 from OBC category, 9,438 from SC category, had applied for various courses.

To ensure transparency and smooth conduct of the examination, for the first time Department of Technical Education introduced online submission of application forms for the CET.
