"The 43 rebels and their supporters, including five women, turned themselves in before senior police and CRPF officials at Chintagufa police station premises," Sukma Additional Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh told PTI.
Criminal offences were registered against some of them, the ASP added.
In their statement, all the ultras expressed disappointment with the ideology of the movement and violence.
Besides, they were also impressed with the provisions of surrender and rehabilitation policy of the state government which compelled them to join the mainstream, Singh said.
