44th New Delhi World Book Fair in January

The 44th edition of the annual New Delhi World Book Fair(NDWBF) will be held from January 7-15 next year at Pragati Maidan here, National Book Trust (NBT) has announced.
The nine-day fair, touted as the largest international fair in the Afro-Asian region, will host 1500 participants from across India, including over 50 foreign exhibitors.
"More than 2500 stalls will showcase books and reading material in Hindi, English, and other Indian languages for all age-groups, on a wide range of subjects and genre," NBT stated in the announcement.
The fair next year will also seek to showcase and promote the rich Indian heritage through music and dance performances.
"There will also be cultural programmes showcasing the folk and classical heritage of India," NBT said.
Like its previous editions, the fair will have a theme and children's pavilion, foreign pavilion, live FM radio corner, authors' corners, as well as international events corner to enhance the experience for visitors.

Various literary programmes, including seminars, panel discussions, book release functions, meet-the-author sessions, book releases, as well as interactive events and activities for children and youth will be lined up at the fair.
"We will have various celebrities and dignitaries as guests and speakers on different platforms during the nine-day fair," NBT said in the statement.
The event will also attempt to serve as a platform that may facilitate networking between business attendees, exhibitiors and visitors through a range B2B sessions, viz. the New Delhi Rights Table and the CEOSpeak.
The fair which is being organised by NBT since 1972, will be spread across a sprawling area of 38,000 square metres.
