Newly-elected heads of 450 villages took charge of office yesterday and held the first meeting of their respective Panchayats, district officials said.
However, the remaining 48 Gram Pradhans are yet to take their oaths as the quorum of their Panchayats are yet to be filled up, they said.
In the neighbouring district of Shamli too, 215 out of the 230 newly-elected village heads took charge of their office yesterday, officials said.
