46 kg cannabis seized, two arrested

Mizoram Excise and Narcotics department officials seized 46 kg of Ganja (cannabis) at Tuikhurhlu village near Aizawl last evening, spokesperson of the department today said.
The spokesperson said Lalsangpuii (50) of Zemabawk near Aizawl and Khamkhanthang (50) of Selbung village in Myanmar were arrested in this connection.
The accused were booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
