Forty seven people including 30 children have died of malaria in the state in last 20 days, Chowdhury said.
"Since June 13, 36329 people have been treated by government doctors, of which 5833 patients were found to be malaria positive. 6288 blood samples were examined of which 1251 samples were bearing malarial germs," Chowdhury told reporters.
Affected people mainly belonged to tribal communities, from three districts - Dhalai, Gomati and South Tripura, he said adding the state was afflicted with malaria after a gap of four years.
He said, the officials of the Health department were instructed to camp in the affected districts for 15-days for supervision of the malaria control measures.
