The accused - identified as Virender, Sanjeev, Prem Kumar, Shamsher and Satish, all residents of Hisar district - were arrested from near Munshiwali water channel, a police spokesperson said.
Explaining their modus operandi, the spokesperson said the accused used to trick gullible bank customers by offering them help to withdraw money and in this process, they would get their ATM password and then replace the original card with a duplicate one. Later, they would withdraw the money.
The accused had committed ATM card frauds in Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
They also fraudulently withdrew Rs 4,000 in Narnaund and Rs 27,000 from Hansi in February, they added.
