The constables Jagtar, Akshay, Himmat, Sunil and Anil were produced before a district court here which sent them to 3-day police remand.
The accused, all residents of Khuda Lahora village here, have been arrested and a case under various sections of IPC had been registered against them, a release issued by the Chandigarh police said here.
A spokesman of Chandigarh police said late this evening that the five constables have been dismissed from service.
Four of the constables were posted in the vehicles of the Police Control Room (PCR which are the first to reach a crime spot, including incidents related to harassment of girls and women and Sunil was posted in the Crime Branch of the Chandigarh Police.

The spokesman said in a release that "a special request has also been made to the court for the trial of the case on fast track proceeding."
"Regarding the case, senior officers of Chandigarh Police have taken a very strong view of the worst act of the constables which amounts to grave misconduct," the spokesman said.
A Class 10 girl had yesterday lodged a complaint, alleging that she had been raped and molested by five constables for one and half months.
In her complaint made yesterday, the victim alleged that a few weeks ago, she had called police following a dispute with a relative. But the constable, who had answered her call allegedly, started harassing her on the pretext of recording her statement.
