5 die, 5 injured in accident

Five people were killed and five others injured when a speeding truck hit a matador car from behind at Ulashi in Nadia district when they were going to cremate a body, the police said.
Ujjal Mondal (30), Prasenjit Biswas (35), Kamal Roy (28), Shankar Baidya (50) and Debabrata Mondal (35) died in the accident last night, the police said.
The injured people were admitted to Bagula hospital. These residents of Bagda in North 24-Parganas district were going to Nabadwip in Nadia district to cremate a body.
The driver of the truck ran away and the vehicle was seized, the police said.
