members of a family were killed in an accident involving a truck, a motorbike and a cycle at Palsit in Burdwan district this evening, police said.
The stone chips laden truck hit the motorbike carrying a family of four, and a cyclist on NH-2 killing all the five on the spot.
The family members including a 9-year-old girl and her 8-year-old brother was going from Burdwan to their home at Bijur village under Memari police station when the accident occurred.
The cyclist was yet to be identified.
Police said the truck was seized but its driver and helper fled.
