5-member gang held for snatching-burglary charge

A five member gang from Bihar was arrested on charge of snatching and burglary from a a hotel in the steel city here, a senior police officer today said.
Superintendent of Police (City) Chandan Jha said a police team led by Inspector-cum-Officer-in-charge of Jugsalai police station Ashok Kumar Giri arrested the 42-year-old kingpin of gang, Janardan Mandal, Deepak Kumar, Pravin Kumar, Dharmendra Kumar and Pintu Raj from a hotel.
Jha said stolen jewelleries, Rs. 4000 in cash, two screw drivers and four wallets were found from them.
The arrested persons confessed having stolen the articles from passengers on their way to Jamshedpur from Munger, Jha added.
