At least five persons were killed and two others injured today when unidentified gunmen attacked them in Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province.
The armed men on a motorbike sprayed bullets at two shops in provincial capital Quetta in apparently ethnically motivated violence, police said.
A police official from control office said that five shopkeepers were killed and two injured in the attack.
The exact identity of victims was not known.
No group has yet claimed responsibility but Baloch separatists are active in the area and often attack the security forces and ethnic and religious minorities.
Last month, gunmen kidnapped and killed at least nine labourers in the town of Hub.
They were later identified as ethnic Punjabis who were working at a poultry farm.
