5 women die as tractor-trolley rolls down into gorge

Five women were killed and 13 others injured, two of them critically, when a tractor-trolley in which they were travelling rolled down into a gorge on the outskirts of Jammu today.
The vehicle was carrying over 20 people, mostly women, who were returning to Kanachak belt after immersion of the holy urn in river Chenab on the occasion of Navratri festival, police said.
Four women devotees died on the spot and another in hospital, they said.
The injured were admitted to various hospitals where the condition of two of them was stated to be critical, police said.
