A five-year-old girl was killed and six others were injured after a speeding truck hit the vehicle carrying them in Giridih district, police said on Thursday.
The accident happened at Vishunpur village under the jurisdiction of Bengabad police station on Wednesday night, a police officer said.
The deceased was identified as Vidisha and she died at Giridih Sadar Hospital, the police officer said, adding, three of the six injured were referred to a hospital in Dhanbad and their condition is stated to be critical.
Two families had gone to Deoghar from Bagodar to offer puja at the Baidyanath temple.
The accident took place when they were returning home, the police officer said.
