50 bombs found, cops exchange fire with Naxalites

Around 50 bombs were recovered following an encounter between the police and Naxalites in Latu jungle of Naxal-hit Latehar district today, an official said.
The ultras attacked the security personnel during combing operation forcing them to retaliate, the official said adding that the naxals made a hasty retreat.
Following the encounter the security personnel recovered 50 bombs, four horses, a carbine, he said.
One jawan received minor injury in the encounter, the officer said.
