The Sundance Channel executives have picked up the show, which chronicles college dropouts as they attempt to earn a diploma, reported Daily Star.
The series offers young adults an education they could not be taught in conventional school, featuring a faculty which includes professional musicians, politicians, filmmakers, actors and artists.
"We literally changed the lives of many of the kids for the better. Some of them went back to school and are now excelling; some of them found out that, despite being told in school that they would never achieve anything, they were actually very gifted at art or acting and went on to achieve great things," said Oliver, who created the show.
'Dream School' is slated to premiere later this year.
