The details were provided by Information and Broadcasting minister Manish Tewari in a written reply to a member's question in the Lok Sabha.
Among the consultants engaged by Prasar Bharati are former Information and Broadcasting secretary Raghu Menon and another retired IAS officer Ashok K Arora.
As per the details provided by Tewari, Prasar Bharati had hired Menon in December last year for all matters related to archives, including its monetisation.
Arora has been the chairman of High Power Committee, review of the structure and systems of HR functions, review of policies and other issues.
The All India Radio also engaged 216 retired persons in addition to eight retired Newsreader cum translators by New Service Division on contract basis since 2010 as per the details provided by the information and broadcasting ministry.
According to Tewari, Prasar Bharati had informed that while engaging consultants from open market or private sector, due diligence was followed by it.
