'50 pc plots in Faridabad industrial zone for local investors'

Half of the 900 plots in the Industrial Model Township Zone here have been reserved for local investors, Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala said today.
Addressing the annual general meeting of the Faridabad Chamber of Commerce and Industries here, Surjewala said the metro rail project to YMCA of Faridabad could be extended to Ballabgarh in near future and all required procedures have been completed for this.
The minister said six-laning of National Highway-2 and construction of flyovers over it would be completed at a cost of Rs 2,500 crore in Faridabad and Palwal districts.
The state highway from Faridabad to Gurgaon has been renovated and Ballabgarh-Sohna road repaired, he said, adding such efforts would be beneficial for industrial development of the state.
Surjewala said the state has achieved zero power cut and by 2018, it would be in a position to produce surplus electricity.
