500 CRPF and Delhi Police personnel to guard trade fair

Over 500 personnel from the CRPF and Delhi Police have been deployed in the India International Trade Fair (IITF) at Pragati Maidan in the national capital.
The access control, frisking and quick reaction to any threat will be done by the central paramilitary force, a senior official said.
Apart from these personnel, private security guards and volunteers would assist the men in 'khaki'.
CISF would also deploy additional men at the Pragati Maidan station of Delhi Metro network to handle the rush and thwart any nefarious activity during the 14-day fair.
As many as 6,000 exhibitors from across the country and abroad are participating in the IITF, showcasing items ranging from electronics, decorative, FMCG and accessories at the complex located in the heart of Delhi.
The fair is expected to attract about 1.6 lakh people every day, which is more than the last year's figure.

The first five days would be reserved for business and trade visitors.
The fair will open for general public from November 19 to 27. The entry timings would be between 9.30 am and 7.30 pm for business visitors as well as for general public.
A special display of women commandos of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will also be showcased during select days of the trade fair.
