Acting on a tip off from Railway Protection Force, police intercepted the car near Tetulgram village under Kotshila police station and found the detonators and gelatin sticks inside, SP Nilkanta Sudhir Kumar said.
It was suspected that the explosives were being transported to the Maoists, he SP said adding, the two arrested persons were being interrogated.
The duo were identified as driver Subal Mahato and Jaladhar Dwari, the other occupant of the car.
