"The absorption orders of 493 SPOs have been issued on the recommendations of Police Establishment Board (PEB) in recognition of their contribution in saving life and property of the people," Director General of Police K Rajendra Kumar said.
He said the SPOs demonstrated great valour and courage while safeguarding the people at different places in the State.
They have been rubbing their shoulders with regular police personnel for years and have performed in different fields of policing, he said adding the SPOs are playing an important role in maintaining peace and order in the State, ensuring dignity and honour of the people.
