Himachal Pradesh Chief Secretary BK Agarwal said Friday there were approximately 3,000 road accidents each year in the state and 80 per cent of them were caused by human errors.
Chairing a high-level road safety meeting, the chief secretary said, "Eighty per cent accidents in the state take place due to mistakes made by humans, while 15 per cent occur due to bad condition of roads and adverse weather conditions. Five per cent of them are caused due to technical issues."
