Transport Minister Gopal Rai said that his department would apprise the National Green Tribunal about the results of the tests.
Government will conduct a random inspection of diesel-run vehicles older than 10 years old and 5 years old to monitor the actual status of their emission levels.
The inspection was today conducted in the presence of Rai, Transport Commissioner Gitanjali Guptal, NGT representatives, office bearers of transport associations and other experts.
The official said that only two vehicles of more than 10 years came forward to undergo the PUC test, of which one vehicle failed to pass PUC test.

"Nine vehicles, aged between 5 and 10 years, were inspected by the officials and out of these, eight vehicles passed the PUC test while one failed. Besides, two vehicles older than 10 years old were examined. Of these, one failed," the official said.
"We also called NGT representatives today so that they could observe this. Government would put the results of such tests before the NGT so that a good decision could be taken," Rai said.
The green court had recently banned more than 10-years-old diesel-run vehicles in Delhi-NCR in view of increasing air pollution.
Delhi government has also approached the Centre and Traffic Police seeking their help to effectively implement the NGT order.
