Fifty five candidates Tuesday filed their nomination papers in five Lok Sabha seats in Bihar which would go to the polls in the fourth phase on April 29, officials said.
The five Lok Sabha seats are - Darbhanga , Samastipur, Ujiarpur, Begusarai and Munger.
With Tuesday's filing of nomination a total of 106 candidates have filed their papers for the five seats.
Briefing media persons Additional Chief Electoral Officer (ACEO) Sanjay Kumar Singh said that 17 candidates have filed their nomination papers for Darbhanga while 30 candidates for Ujiarpur, 21 for Begusarai, 21 for Munger and 17 for Samastipur.
The scrutiny of papers will be carried out Wednesday while the candidates can withdraw their papers by April 12, Singh said.
Talking about the first phase of polling which would be held on April 11 in four constituencies of Aurangabad, Gaya, Nawada and Jamui, Singh said that all the necessary arrangements and preparations have been completed with regard to free, fair and peaceful polling in first phase.

All the polling personnel would reach their polling stations allotted by the Election Commission by Wednesday evening, he said adding that 45,000 poll personnel will be deployed for the purpose.
Central Armed Police Force (CAPF), district police, homeguard, SAP (Special Auxiliary Police), BMP jawans will be deployed on the polling day, he said adding that helicopter and air ambulance will also be there for emergency and necessary work.
A total of 7,486 polling stations have been made for conducting the first phase of polling, the ACEO said adding that live webcasting will be carried out in 350 polling stations.
A total of 17,37,821 voters will exercise their franchise in Aurangabad, 16,98,772 in Gaya, 18,92,017 in Nawada and 17,09,356 in Jamui, he said.
