Fifty-five people today reconverted to Hinduism at a function organised at nearby Pollachi by the Hindu Munnani, a right wing Hindu outfit.
Ten Muslims and 45 Christians, including 21 women, were reconverted in the function which was held at a marriage hall and was led by General secretary C Subramanian, Munnani district secretary Srinivasan said.
The people were from the business community, daily wage earners and belonged to Pollachi, Valparai and nearby areas, he said, adding, all of them had come of their own volition.
Srinivasan said all of them were given a copy of Bhagwad Gita, a silver coin, dhoti and sari.
