Police today booked six persons, including three members of a family, for killing a person in this district.
On a complaint filed by Sanjay Kumar, younger brother of deceased Sunil Kumar (40), police registered a case of murder and criminal conspiracy against his wife Dolly, her father Kanhaiya Lal, her mother Sheila Devi and three others, all residents of Mohalla Chhipatwara here.
Sanjay, a resident of Alwar district in Rajasthan, alleged that his elder brother Sunil had been done to death by his in-laws, in criminal collusion with his wife Dolly, after which the body was thrown by them near Dharuhera Chowk here, from where it was recovered by the police on February 25.
In the absence of any such complaint, the police, which held inquest proceedings, had then treated it as a case of incidental death, and handed over the body to the family of the deceased after post mortem.
Sunil, who was employed as a driver in a private travel agency here.
Sanjay further alleged that his elder brother Sunil's deep-rooted suspicion about his wife Dolly's illicit relations with some other person, was a bone of contention between Sunil and his in-laws, which led to Sunil's elimination by them.
The matter is under investigation and no arrests have been made so far.
