6 gold bars, foreign cigarettes seized from two passengers

Six gold bars and 30 cartons of foreign cigarettes were seized by Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials from two passengers who arrived here today from Sharjah.
Police, quoting DRI officials, said that Murshad and Yousuf had arrived by an Air Arabia flight early this morning.
They said a check on Murshad revealed that he had hidden six gold bars weighing 700 grams in his rectum, worth about Rs 20 lakh.
Similarly, 30 cartons of foreign cigarettes, valued at Rs 55,000, were seized from the luggage of Yousuf, they said.
Both Murhsad and Yousuf are from Kasargod in Kerala.
