6 inter-state dacoits nabbed in Assam

Six inter-state notorius dacoits involved in several robbery cases in Guwahati were arrested with two revolvers during a police operation at Jorabat on the Assam-Meghalaya border.
The six were coming to Guwahati from Barapani of Meghalaya when they were apprehended last night, police sources said.
Police had prior information that the dacoits were planning to commit robberies in the VIP area of Guwahati, the sources said.
The six were identified as Saheb Ali, Afruddin Khan, Nizam Ali, Saddam Hussain, Osman Jalil and Ramijuddi, they added.
