6 killed, 4 injured as vehicle overturns

Six persons of a marriage party were killed and four others injured when their jeep overturned near village Jamunia Ghat near Begumganj town in the district today, police said.
The incident took place when one of the front tyres of the vehicle, driven by the bride's brother got punctured, due to which it overturned, police said.
According to police, three persons were killed on the spot, while three others succumbed to their injuries on way to hospital.
The victims had arrived in Begumganj town from Silwani tehsil in the district for the wedding.
While the just-married couple was being taken home in another vehicle, the bride's brother was driving the relatives of the groom to Silwani from Begumganj, when the incident took place, police said.

The deceased were identified as Naresh Rai (45), Kamlesh Rai (40), Rajul Rai (18), bride's brother Piyush Rai (25), Deepak Nema (24) and Rashmi Rai (35), police said adding the injured were admitted in a private hospital in Bhopal.
