6 killed as car falls into gorge

Six persons, including a child, were killed when a car in which they were travelling fell into a gorge near Nanipatal in the wee hours today, police said.
"The accident occurred when they were returning home after visiting a patient admitted in the district hospital. The deceased include two women, a child, and the driver," said R S Rana, District Disaster Management Officer said.
They belonged to Bhautari and Chirali village of the district, he added.
The locals spotted the body and reported the matter to the police.
This is a second fatal accident in the district in a week's time. Eight passengers had died, including a police circle officer, on February 15, when their car fell into a ditch near Ghat.
