6 of family booked for dowry harassment

Six persons of a family, including the husband of a newly wedded woman, have been booked for allegedly torturing her for dowry, police said.
According to the complaint lodged by one Geeta yesterday, she was married to Praveen in April this year and had been tortured by her in-laws since then for dowry, they said.
Her in-laws also threatened to kill her, police said.
A case has been lodged against her husband Praveen and five in-laws and investigation is underway, they said.
