Six members of ultra outfit People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) were arrested from extremist-hit Khunti district, police today said.
Based on an information that PLFI activists assembled in a jungle near Buxpur village under Karra police station, a police team rushed to the spot and surrounded them yesterday evening.
On noticing the police team, six ultras tried to flee on two motorcycles but were captured, Superintendent of Police, Ashwini Kumar Sinha said.
Police seized a fire-arm, two stolen motorcycles and PLFI literature from them.
Sinha said that cases were pending against the arrested ultras.
