6 seers, UP CM's parents among 32 non-public representatives to be provided security by Ukd govt

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanth's parents and six seers from Haridwar are among the people who would be provided security cover under different categories in a new list prepared by the Uttarakhand government.

The revised list prepared by the Home Department, includes 32 people who are not public representatives.

The six seers who would be provided security cover are Swami Kailashanand Brahmachari, Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati, Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati, Shankaracharya Swami Rajrajeshwarashram, Jagatguru Ramanandacharya Hansdevacharya Maharaj and yoga guru Ramdev.

Adityanath's parents, who are residents of a village in Pauri district, Pradesh BJP president Ajay Bhatt and Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni were also part of the list.

However, Baluni has requested the administration to withdraw the security, saying he does not need it, official sources said.
