6 senior IPS officers shuffled in CRPF

Six senior IPS officers in the rank of Inspector General (IG) were tonight shuffled in the country's largest paramilitary of the country-- CRPF.
According to the new orders issued late this evening, Rajasthan cadre IPS officer Pankaj Kumar Singh, who was till now heading the Operations charge of the force, will now head provisioning and intelligence departments.
Singh is a veteran of anti-Maoist operations and had completed a stint as IG in Chhattisgarh earlier.
Zulfikar Hasan, a West Bengal cadre police officer, will be the new IG for Operations at the force headquarters after he recently completed his tenure in Chhattisgarh commanding 20 battalions deployed for Naxal combat tasks.
IG V S Yadav has been moved from Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) to head the elite CoBRA unit.
Andhra Pradesh cadre IPS officer Nalin Prabhat has been designated as IG, Srinagar, while N C Asthana has been deputed as IG (operations) Kashmir after heading the provisioning office of the force in Delhi.
Another senior officer P K Singh has been placed as the new IG (operations) in Srinagar sector of the force.
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has deployed close to 65,000 personnel in J and K and is the second largest unit in terms of operations after anti-Naxal operations of the paramilitary.
