6 TDP candidates elected to Legislative Council

Six candidates belonging to the ruling TDP in Andhra Pradesh have been declared elected uncontested to the State Legislative Council from local authorities constituencies.
One candidate of AIMIM has been elected uncontested to the Telangana Legislature Council, Chief Electoral Officer of AP and Telangana Bhanwar Lal told reporters here today.
The six nominees elected to the AP Council are G Deepak Reddy(Anantapur), Angara Rama Mohan and M Venkata Satyanarayana Raju(both West Godavari),Chikkala Ramachandra Rao (East Godavari), S Vijayarama Raju (Srikakulam),and B N Rajasimhulu (Chittoor).
Syed Aminul Hasan Jafri is the AIMIM candidate who has been elected uncontested to the Telangana Council from Hyderabad Local Authorities Constituency.
Meanwhile, polling in the biennial elections to AP and Telangana Councils from graduates and teachers constituencies in both the states would be held tomorrow. The counting of votes be taken up on March 20.
Polling in the election to three other local authorities constituencies in AP will be held on March 17 and votes would counted on March 20.
The number of graduates constituencies going to the polls in AP is three, while that of teachers constituencies is two.
In Telangana, election will be held for a sole teachers' constituency.
