6-yr-old female panther trapped

: A six year old female leopard, suspected to have killed some dogs guarding local farms at Pethanpillai in this district, has ben trapped, forest department officials said.
They said the department decided to set up a cage to trap the feline after complaints from villagers of the dogs being killed by it
The cage was set up near Ghadana river dam along the foothills of Western Ghats and the animal was trapped late last night, they said.
The officials said the leopard would be released into the Mundanthurai forest area later today.
