60-yr-old man drowns in Rajasthan

A 60-year-old man drowned while bathing in Chambal river near Charnakhurd village here, police said today.
Shyojilal Bairwa, a resident of Tipni Chambal village, fell into deep waters while taking a bath, the SHO at Indergarh police station, said.
A rescue operation was started soon after the incident but the body could be recovered only this morning, he said.
The body was handed over to his family members after postmortem and a case under section 174 of CrPC lodged, he added.
Meanwhile, a 35-year-old woman Kuldeep Kaur, a resident of Dhola Ki Jhopdiya, died after she fell unconscious while spraying pesticides in her agriculture field.
The woman was rushed to a government hospital here, however, she died during the treatment, ASI, Namana police station Kishan Singh said.
A case has been registered, he said.
