'600 kanals of land in Kargil transferred to Kashmir univ'

About 600 kanals of state land in Kargil has been transferred to University of Kashmir for establishment of a campus there, the Jammu and Kashmir government said today.
Minister for Higher Education Mohammad Akbar Lone said this while replying to a question in the Legislative Council.
Against the total sanctioned amount of Rs 2586.28 lakh under Prime Ministers Reconstruction Plan (PMRP), an amount of Rs 1293.14 lakh has been received for creation of infrastructure for Kargil University Campus, he said.
