Addressing a press conference here, Ghatowar said out of these projects, the state government has completed 65 projects worth Rs 393.40 crore and 60 projects worth Rs 646.27 crore were at various stages of implementation.
"There are 50 projects worth Rs 444 crore in the pipeline for sanction by the ministry in the near future, which include 14 new proposals," he said.
He claimed that the Congress government in the state headed by chief minister Lal Thanhawla has made significant improvement in the implementation of the projects under NLCPR.
Ghatowar, who arrived here yesterday, visited south Mizoram's Saiha, Lawngtlai and Lunglei districts by helicopter where he laid foundation stones for construction of various infrastructure projects.
He said the demand of the three autonomous district councils for direct funding from the Centre required constitutional amendments though the state government recommended the direct funding.
