Regional Medical Research Centre Director S K Kar today said a sample of the man from Balipatna area, who was admitted to a private hospital here, was tested positive for swine flu.
The patient, whose condition is stable, had recently returned after a visit to some places in north India, he said, adding, three other samples received from another private hospital in the city were tested negative for swine flu.
The man, who was admitted to the hospital on January 6, with respiratory problem, is now undergoing treatment in isolation ward after the diagnosis.
People have been advised not to neglect flu symptoms and consult doctor without delay.
