The Building Departments of North and East Delhi Municipal Corporations carried out the drive with the help of local police.
Fifty properties faced action in areas like Paharganj, Sadar Bazar, Gulabi Bagh, Shastri Nagar, Nabi Karim, Karol Bagh and Sarai Rohilla in Sadar Paharganj Zone while nine buildings in Shahdara (South) Zone's Raghubarpura, Shakarpur, Jheel, Kalyan Puri and Vishwas Nagar were demolished.
Portions of eight properties in Rohini Sector 5, 13 and 15, Budh Vihar and Vijay Vihar in Rohini Zone were also demolished during the drive.
