Seven persons were arrested in connection with the explosion that destroyed a party office of the ruling Trinamool Congress in Birbhum district Monday, police said Tuesday.
The police suo-motu lodged complaint against a total of 26 persons booking them under various sections of the IPC and Explosives Act.
Three of the arrested seven were remanded to police custody for six days while others were sent to judicial custody for 14 days by a Dubrajpur court, Additional Public Prosecutor Manilal Dey said.
A high intensity blast took place in the Trinamool Congress party office at Barrah village under Kankartala police station area.
The party office was locked from outside when the explosion occurred which damaged a large portion of it.
The TMC had accused BJP backed miscreants of being involved in the incident while the saffron party denied the charge.
