He said state Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, in consultation with PWD Minister Rao Narbir Singh, has given consent to the Centre for declaring seven roads in the state as new National Highways.
These roads are Ghaziabad-Noida-Faridabad-Sohna (75km), Nuh-Mandkola-Palwal-Jewar-Bulandshahar (60km), Sohna- Ballabhgarh-Tigaon-Gautambudh Nagar-Deota-Sikandrabad (85km), Palwal-Aligarh (83km) and Hodal-Bhiruki-Hasanpur- Kashipur-Kushak-Barauli-Ghori-Dadota-Mohna-Arwa-Chandpur-Manjh awali (65km).
Besides, Faridabad (Kheri Bridge)-Jasana-Cheersi- Manjhawali-Atta Gujran-Dankor-Yamuna Expressway (25km) and road from Kaithal-Pehowa-Kurukshetra-Radaur-Yamuna Nagar (75km) are included in the plan.
He said the state government is also mulling to recommend to declare two more roads, Bhiwani-Mundal-Jind- Karnal-Meerut and Hisar-Adampur-Fatehabad-Ratia- Mansa- Bhatinda roads, as National Highways, as proposed by the Central government.
These are Meerut-Sonepat-Kharkhauda-Sampla-Jhajjar-Charkhi Dadri-Loharu, Jaisalmer-Pokhran-Bikaner-SriDungarpur- Ratangarh-Fatehpur-Jhanjhunu-Chirawa-Narnaul-Rewari,Pathankot- Gurdaspur-Amritsar-Zira-Faridkot-Bhathinda-Dabwali- Hanumangarh-Paka-Samoka-Galuwala-Kenchiya, Alwar-Ramgarh-Nuh- Gurgaon, Nakodar-Mahatpur-Moga-Badhni-Barnal-Hadiaya-Mansa- Jhunir-Sardulgarh-Sirsa, he said.
