body of a seven-year-old girl from a village in Bihar's Vaishali district, who had been raped before being murdered by unidentified miscreants.
The girl, a resident of Sarai police station in the district, had been missing since Thursday. Her mother Devati Devi is into flower business and hails from West Bengal.
"The dead body was thrown in the bushes near Damodarpur village. We recovered it after getting information in the evening. Prima facie she appears to be brutally raped before being killed. We have started our investigation to nab the culprits involved in the crime," said Sarai Station House Officer (SHO) Ranjeet Kumar.
