The Delhi Dispute Resolution Society (DDRS) under the Department of Law resolved 2381 cases in 2013, 2144 cases in 2012, 2487 cases in 2011, Delhi government officials said.
Apart from that, 392 cases were settled in 2010 and 5 cases were settled in 2009.
The Society gives an alternate to the people of Delhi to resolve their disputes which are largely at low cost or no cost in a short span of time.
The mediation centres have been receiving cases directly from the people of varied kinds at all its centres.
The objective of the society is to provide a forum to the parties to settle their disputes with the help of neutral mediators.
